چکیده
Despite the latest advances in orthodontic treatment, white spot lesions remain a common side effect of fixed appliance therapy. An effective treatment for prevention is use fluoride-containing products. The aim present vitro study was to check durability tested products their fluoride release into surrounding solution. Three varnishes (Protecto CaF2 Nano one-step seal, Bifluorid 12 single dose, and Fluor Protector S) were applied hydroxyapatite discs kept diluted Total Ionic Strength Adjustment Buffer III (TISAB III) solution ion measurement. A group clear served as control group. carrier (N = 40) underwent three thermal cycling runs 20 days. Before first run after each run, concentration measured at appointed times (T) T0, T1, T2, T3. Fluoride highest T1 all (median values Protecto seal: 0.09 ppm, dose: 37.67 S: 3.36 ppm) except group, showing its peak T0 (0.04 ppm). There significant difference between measurement times. achieved significantly higher than other (p < 0.05 times). solitary product application only once or twice per year, stated by manufacturers, cannot be supported.

Fluoride ion release from ultraviolet light-cured sealants containing sodium fluoride.
The ability of uv light-cured fissure sealants to release fluoride ion from different concentrations of sodium fluoride (NaF), over a 3-week period was studied. Two hundred samples of sealant were prepared in which 1 group contained no fluoride (control) and 4 others contained NaF at 0.05, 0.2, 0.5, and 2% concentrations, respectively. The fluoride ion released by each sample after 1 day, 3 day...
متن کاملThe Comparison of Solubility and Release of Fluoride from Easthetic Restorative Materials in Water and Acid: An In Vitro Study
Background & Aims: Secondary caries is one of the most common problems in restorative dentistry. The release of flouride ions could substantially benefit the tooth enamel and neigboring dentin because flourid can combat caries. The purpose of this in vitro study was to evaluate the solubility rate and release of fluoride from tooth-colored restorative materials (Iono CID, Fuji II LC, FugiIX, Fu...
متن کاملEvaluation of a fluoride-containing sealant by SEM, microleakage, and fluoride release.
A fluoride-containing sealant (FluroShield) was evaluated in vitro and compared to a sealant without fluoride (Helio-Seal). Both materials were applied to the occlusal surface of extracted teeth and microscopically evaluated for their ability to penetrate pits and fissures. Additional specimens were subjected to dye immersion and evaluated for resistance to microleakage. Disc-shaped samples of ...
متن کاملSurface properties and ion release from fluoride-containing bioactive glasses promote osteoblast differentiation and mineralization in vitro.
Bioactive glasses (BG) are suitable for bone regeneration applications as they bond with bone and can be tailored to release therapeutic ions. Fluoride, which is widely recognized to prevent dental caries, is efficacious in promoting bone formation and preventing osteoporosis-related fractures when administered at appropriate doses. To take advantage of these properties, we created BG incorpora...
متن کاملFluoride varnishes with calcium glycerophosphate: fluoride release and effect on in vitro enamel demineralization.
The aims of this study were (1) to assess the amount of fluoride (F) released from varnishes containing calcium glycerophosphate (CaGP) and (2) to assess the effect of the experimental varnishes on in vitro demineralization. Six test groups using 5 varnishes: base varnish (no active ingredients); Duraphat® (2.26% NaF); Duofluorid® (5.63% NaF/CaF2); experimental varnish 1 (1% CaGP/5.63% NaF/CaF2...
